All
of us! For our Country, for our Flag and Glory!
Our valor and our writings are the envy of the ages.
Our mountains and our valleys, they bring forth stalwart
men.
And to Perfection all our efforts we devote.
All of us! For our Country, for our Flag and Glory!
Our Elders and our children, they await our Country's
call,
And on the Day of Crisis they are as Lions of the Jungle.
The heart of our East is ever Lebanon,
May God preserve her until end of time?
All of us! For our Country, for our Flag and Glory!
The Gems of the East are her land and sea.
Throughout the world her good deeds flow from pole to pole.
And her name is her glory since time began.
Immortality's Symbol--the Cedar--is her Pride.
All of us! For our Country, for our Flag and Glory! |

první sloka
Kde domov můj,
kde domov můj?
Voda hučí po lučinách,
bory šumí po skalinách,
v sadě skví se jara květ,
zemský ráj to na pohled!
A to je ta krásná země,
země česká, domov můj,
země česká, domov můj! |
druhá sloka
Kde domov můj,
kde domov můj?
V kraji znáš-li Bohu milém,
duše útlé v těle čilém,
mysl jasnou, vznik a zdar,
a tu sílu vzdoru zmar?
To je Čechů slavné plémě,
mezi Čechy domov můj,
mezi Čechy domov můj! |

first paragraph
Where is my home, where is my
home?
Over leas are waters streaming,
On the hills blue forests dreaming,
Flowery wolds Spring’s happy skies,
Like as earthly Paradise:
There’s the land so full of beauty,
[: Cechia, my fatherland! :] |
second paragraph
Where is my home, where is my
home?
Where god self to man had spoken:
Gentle be, but never broken,
Ever cheerful, hopefull, strong,
Bravely thwarting any wrong:
There’s the land of manly honor,
[: Cechia, my fatherland! :] |

Zastavme ich bratia, ved’ sa ony stratia, Slováci ozijú

To Slovensko naše posial’ tvrdo spalo

The white
double-tailed lion represents the historical territory of
Bohemia. It was also used by the Kings of Bohemia. The black
eagle on a golden field stands for Silesia, and the
chequered eagle on a blue field for Moravia. Hence, the
three historical components of the Czech Republic.
